"Hip Skip" and "What They Do" were first recorded in the studio on November 6, though the former was performed live in August at Paul's Mall in Boston.

According to the Bottom Line online archive (https://bottomlinearchive.com Davis performed at The Bottom Line on November 3-4 and again on November 18.

The Octet was quite busy during this period: Indianapolis Convention Center (October 13); Allen Theatre, Cleveland (November 1); Bottom Line Club, New York (November 3-4); Club Etcetera, Washington (November 11-14); The Stables, East Lansing (December 11); Bottom Line Club, New York (November 18); Smiling Dog Saloon, Cleveland (December 12-15).
