The original recording is just Davis (tpt) and Miller (el-b). Al Foster was overdubbed the same evening
and the rest later.
Davis was still recovering from the heart infection that cut short his European tour;
and on top of that he contracted walking pneumonia. That and throat surgery in late January 1989
kept him out of commission until the spring of 1989.
