This is Parker's second commercial session and his last sides with McShann. His
playing brims with confidence and his mature style is pretty much in place. He left
McShann for good soon after these sides were recorded and headed back to New York.
"Lonely Boy Blues" and "Sepian Bounce" both contain two alto saxophone choruses,
the first by John Jackson, the second by Parker.
