"Poem for Brass" -- sometimes listed as "Jazz Suite for Brass" -- donsists of four "movements":
- Sonnet for Brass (4:57)
- Ballad for Joe [Wilder] (1:25)
- Meter and Metal (1:02)
- Finale (2:25)
Davis solos on flugelhorn on "Poem for Brass"; the trumpet solo is by Joe Wilder.
Davis does not play on "Pharaoh," and Joe Singer and Bernie Glow are impressive
for both accuracy and range.
