"Three Blind Mice" may be a stripped-down version of "Calypso Frelimo" (it's in
the same key). It was played at Paul's Mall in July 1974.
Davis' re-formed Septet resumed touring after he recovered from throat surgery
in April, but his health continued to deteriorate: Paul's Mall, Boston (April 28-May
3); Just Jazz, Philadelphia (May 12-17); Oakland University, Rochester MI (May 24);
Bottom Line Club, New York (June 10-12); Avery Fisher Hall, New York (July 1); Central
Park, New York (September 5). An October date at Keystone Korner in San Francisco
was canceled, and Davis underwent hip replacement surgery in December.
