Execrable quality, but this is the Miles Davis Quintet minus its leader,
with Gary Peacock sitting in for Ron Carter. It's possible that venue is
Slug's Saloon; apparently that's what Wayne Shorter remembers. The date may be later in the summer.
The recording was broadcast on WBAI-FM. I'm grateful to Bob Belden and Lewis Porter
