Recorded at the second Jazz Öst-West festival by Bayrischer Rundfunk, and later broadcast (June 5, 1968) on WDR 3. This performance takes place two months before Brötzmann's epochal Machine Gun LP (Brö 2 / FMP 0090), and the usual Octet is augmented by Manfred Schoof's trumpet.
