All titles are unissued by Columbia and are listed in the files as "Slurpee." This is a remake of "Mrs. Slurpey" from May 5, 1980. Twelve takes were recorded. The music on the first disc of the bootleg CDR Comeback Sessions, Vol. 3: Birth of the Legend (So What SW 193/94) is probably from this session, although the music is listed as "Session of 'Shout'" and the date as May 6, 1981. The latter date was a mix session when no music was recorded.

According to Robert Irving, the tune "was originally a tune with group vocals. Miles is actually quoting those vocal melodies, which means the group vocals were probably there for his reference... Miles learned the melody from [a] cassette."
