According to Robert Irving, guitarist Henry Johnson can be heard playing the melody line on the issued version of "Decoy"
(3:21-3:43 and 7:23-7:45).
In the Columbia files "Decoy" is listed as "Decoy Outer Limits." Irving is quoted in George Cole's
The Last Miles (p. 145), "I... composed a tune called 'Outer Space', which [Miles] later renamed 'Decoy'..."
An edited version of "Decoy" was used in early 1984 for a Miles Davis music video broadcast on MTV.
