The occasion was the Black Music Association's tribute to Davis called "Miles Ahead: A Tribute to an American Music Legend."
At the end of the evening Davis was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Fisk University.
This is Evans' and Cinelu's last concert with the group.
