Approximately one minute of "Splatch" was included in Davis' "Tutu" video directed by Spike Lee.
The version of "Splatch" on New Musical Express was given away with the September 20, 1986 edition of the newspaper.
According to Adam Holzman, Davis, Miller, and he began recording in Los Angeles, and Miller finished the track
in New York City.
