Parts of this interview were included in a 1986 episode of the PBS-TV series Great Performances called Miles Ahead: The Music of Miles Davis. The hour-long documentary is a portrait of Miles Davis and his career including excerpts of interviews with Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Bill Cosby, Gil Evans, Robben Ford, Tony Williams, and Keith Jarrett. Several excerpts from recordings and TV performances are included as well. The show was originally broadcast on October 17.
