John Bigham was introduced to Davis around this time; Davis encouraged him to write, and brought him into the studio:

In the first session, it was just me and him and the engineer at Sunset Sound [studio]. He came in and said "what do you want me to do?" I'm thinking "I don't know!" We hung out and had a lot of fun. There are four or five tunes in the can, including one called "Naked." (Quoted in George Cole, The Last Miles, p. 300.)
