The concert was recorded by Europe-1 Radio; the Trema CD bears the subtitle "En Concert avec Europe-1."

The Hannibal CD has much-improved sound quality, but misidentifies the date and city as "New York 1974." The indexes are all wrong as well. Thanks to Lasse Nikkarev for sending me this CD.

Apparently this is all there is from this night -- the second set was less than 25 minutes long. According to Frank Ténot, "At the end of a (too) long intermission, like a whiplash: Miles, surrounded by alert, vital percussionists, Miles who played only one piece, bizarrely interrupted by a 'technical break', the reasons for which we still do not know." Thanks to Larry Gregan for this information.

The Davis Septet finished a Japanese tour at the end of June. After performing at the Hampton Jazz Festival (July 1), the Septet immediately began a two-week tour of European festivals. The itinerary was as follows:

July 6: Temple of Jupiter, Baalbeck
July 8: Montreux Jazz Festival
July 10: Rainbow Theatre, London
July 11: Olympia Theatre, Paris
July 16: Parco delle Naiadi, Pescara
July 17: Teatro Romano, Verona
July 20: La Pinède, Juan-les-Pins

There are probably other performances as well, but I have not found ads or reviews.
