Charlie Parker Chronology
For many years, Danish musician and jazz scholar Leif Bo Petersen has maintained a
chronology of Charlie Parker's activities and recordings. His work has been an invaluable
source of information for me and many others. Leif has offered to share the results of
his research, and I am happy to provide a home for his work. Below are links to data
files with information about Parker's whereabouts, activities, recordings and much else,
with documentation for those who would like to consult the original sources.

I am very grateful to Peter Losin for hosting my Parker chronology here. It is a
work still in progress, and during the years a lot of people have helped with information
and willingness to discuss details. Of greatest value has of course been the very
comprehensive information on Peter's Miles Ahead, but I also owe thanks to Bryan
Armstrong, James Accardi, Philippe Baudoin, Jay Becker, Gary Carner, Dan Morgenstern,
Jan Evensmo, Chris DeVito, Ira Gitler, Chuck Haddix, Franz Hoffmann, Brian Priestley,
Peter Pullman, Norman Saks, Phil Schaap, Marc Scobac, Allan Sutherland, Chieo Yamada,
Art Zimmerman, and many others.
