The Davis Septet took part in the "Newport Jazz Festival in Europe" tour produced by George Wein. The itinerary was as follows:

October 29: Tivoli Konsertsal, Copenhagen
November 1: Philharmonie, Berlin (two concerts?)
November 2: Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, Ludwigshafen
November 3: Stadthalle, Vienna
November 7: Dom Sindikata, Belgrade
November 10: Palazzo dello Sport, Bologna
November 12: Palau de la Musica, Barcelona
November 13: Palau de la Musica, Barcelona
November 14: Cirque Royal, Brussels
November 15: Palais des Sports, Paris
November 17: De Doelen, Rotterdam
November 18: Glasgow Apollo (formerly Green's Playhouse), Glasgow

There may have been other concerts as well, but I have not been able to locate advertisements or reviews. Thanks to Pascal Garnier for identifying the venue for this show, and to Axel van Looy for supplying the correct date (and for alerting me to the occurrence of the Glasgow show). Thanks also to Karel Cuelenaere for information about the November 14 Brussels show.

Upon returning from Europe, the group performed at New York's Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 25. There may have been other engagements as well but no ads or reviews have surfaced.
