The Davis Septet took part in the "Newport Jazz Festival in Europe" tour produced
by George Wein. The itinerary was as follows:

November 3: Stadthalle, Vienna
November 7: Dom Sindikata, Belgrade
November 10: Palazzo dello Sport, Bologna
November 12: Palau de la Musica, Barcelona
November 13: Palau de la Musica, Barcelona
November 14: Cirque Royal, Brussels
November 15: Palais des Sports, Paris
November 17: De Doelen, Rotterdam
November 18: Glasgow Apollo (formerly Green's Playhouse), Glasgow
November 19: Rainbow Theatre, London (two concerts)
November 21: L'Entrepôt Lainé,
Bordeaux
There may have been other concerts as well, but I have not been able to locate advertisements
or reviews. Thanks to Pascal Garnier for identifying the venue for this show, and
to Axel van Looy for supplying the correct date (and for alerting me to the occurrence

14 Brussels show.
Upon returning from Europe, the group performed at New York's
Carnegie Hall on Sunday, November 25.
